Confession time...I am an Etsy addict. I cannot begin to tell you how much time that I have spent browsing and purchasing custom crocheted hats for my children, so you can imagine my surprise when I was given the opportunity to review a wonderfully handmade hat from Two Brothers Blankets for my youngest child. Ecstatic is definitely an understatement!

Two Brothers Blankets is a Georgia based Etsy shop created by a mommy blogger of two boys. Michelle, the store owner, sent this adorable Mickey Mouse hat for my two year old son, which was perfect, because he is obsessed with Mickey Mouse! Normally, I have a hard time keeping hats on his head during the cold winter months, because he cannot stand wearing them for more than a minute or two. With this hat, there hasn't been a problem. My "Leettle" loves it so much, he even asks to sleep in it!



"Leettle" was standing beside me when I had opened the mailer that the hat was sent in and quickly grabbed it out of my hands as soon as he saw it. He put it on and began dancing around and singing "Meeska Mooska...Mickey Mouse" and proceeded to do so for about half an hour.

As soon as I could get the hat back from my son, I noticed that the hat was crocheted tightly with a nice, thick yarn. I am not crafty, nor do I crochet, but this hat was definitely constructed far better than any other hat that I had bought for either of my boys in the past...and is less than half the cost!

When I had bought other crocheted hats for my children, the sizing was normally off. I usually took the seller's word that a size 2t would actually fit my two year old, when in reality, it was just too small. Michelle took my son's measurements and the hat that she made him fit him perfectly!



Two Brothers Blankets has more than just adorable children's hats, but items for the entire family, such as custom-made scarves, head bands, diaper covers, blankets, and more. You can personalize your items with your choice from about a dozen different colors. Also, If you have a custom item in mind that is not featured in the store, don't hesitate to ask!

The prices on all of Michelle's items are very reasonable. In fact, you could find a mass produced winter hat for the same price (or more) in any retail store...but I am willing to bet that you wouldn't like it nearly as much. When purchasing through Two Brothers Blankets, not only are you supporting an US family, but Michelle will make sure that your item is made to your liking and she stands behind her amazing work. If your item is damaged within 60 days after purchase, she will gladly repair it for free! Repairs beyond that time period are also available.


I definitely plan on purchasing items in the future from Two Brothers Blankets and love referring family members, friends, and strangers as well.
